The mounting socket is lined with rubber on the inside to prevent scratching the gimbal.The dual handgrip can be held upside down for shooting in inverted mode, and also it disassembles into five parts for easy storage and transport. With four 1/4"-20 holes on top and 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 holes on the bottom. It gives you the added benefit of enabling you to easily mount.
