Featuring 8mm steel rails, the Varavon Slidecam S 1200 is a camera slider that lets you add smooth linear motion with loads up to 48.5 pounds. The track measures 47.2″ long, just under 2″ wide, and features index markings on the top of the rails for precise and repeatable start and stop points. The slider platform rides on three roller bearings for smooth operation, with an integrated brake letting you secure the carriage in place at any point along the rails for locked-down shots or when transporting the slider.
The platform features a 3/8″-16 mounting screw for attaching a ball head or fluid head, with a thumbwheel at the side of the platform used to tighten the head to the carriage. Threaded mounting holes on the at the ends and underside of the track allow for mounting on tripods stands. For ground level or tabletop shots, the slider features a folding leg system with adjustable feet provides leveling and two points of articulation, so you can support the slider on almost any hard surface, smooth, or uneven.
An included rail cleaning device fits snugly on the rails and cleans them of debris, so you can avoid pitting of the rails or track wheels. The included carry bag and shoulder strap allow you to pack up and take your slider with you, making it a completely portable solution.
