Long a favorite of fashion and portrait photographers, the persistent problem with large metal beauty dish reflectors was transporting them. Phottix has a solution for that with the Luna II Folding Beauty Dish. The modifier has a removable front diffuser and a reflective silver interior that maximizes output while rendering the soft but crisp quality of light which is the signature of this light shaper. The Luna II has a deflector inside instead of a baffle to bounce back the flash unit’s output and distribute it evenly across the dish. It also has an integrated Bowens S-Type speed ring that not only fits Phottix heads, but those from the many manufacturers that use this popular mount as well. As a bonus, Phottix also includes a fabric grid to add directional control and facilitate selective lighting.
