GVM GVM-QX6 Overview
Improve the onboard audio quality of your DSLR/mirrorless camera or audio recorder using this GVM QX-6 Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone thanks to its cardioid pickup pattern and also 3.5mm TRS audio output port. An integrated shock mount with a cold shoe foot attaches the microphone to the top of your camera.
Its directional pickup pattern captures audio exclusively in front of the microphone for better voiceover in your vlogs and also run-and-gun content. Onboard gain and low-cut filter controls, as well as a headphone port, allow you to manipulate your sound during recording.
Focused Sound Pickup, Onboard Controls
- A heart-shaped cardioid pickup pattern captures focused sound from your subjects in front of the camera. The microphone has a frequency response of 100 Hz to 20 kHz and also -32 dB for clear and accurate audio recording.

40-Hour Battery Life
The QX-6 is powered by two separately available AAA batteries for a total runtime of 40 hours. The onboard power switch features an automatic function that synchronizes the device’s power status with its audio port, turning the device on only when connected via the included cable.
