Rode Broadcaster Condenser Microphone
The Broadcaster Condenser Microphone from RODE is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone that features a true full-range response especially suited for voice-over use.

It has an emphasized proximity effect and features an internal pop filter, designed to minimize plosive sounds that can overload the microphone capsule and distort the audio output. In addition to the native 20 Hz-20 kHz response, a selectable high-pass filter at 75 Hz is available to prevent low-end noise, such as air conditioners and traffic, from being recorded.

The Broadcaster features an ‘On-Air’ indicator on the body that can be wired for external activation by the ‘Channel On/Mute’ function on many consoles. If not connected to a console or switch, the indicator will remain lit whenever the microphone has power.

The Auray WCF-UB440 Foam Windscreen for the Senal UB-440 is made from specialty acoustic foam designed to reduce broadband wind noise with minimal high frequency loss. The density of the foam is optimized to help protect the microphone element from vocal plosives and wind pressure without dramatically muffling the sound.

This windscreen is effective indoors for protection against drafts caused by air conditioners and can be used in calm to light outdoor breeze conditions (0 to 7 mph). It also reduces vocal plosives in close microphone placement situations. Users can generally expect a 4 to 8 dB reduction in wind noise, with very slight dampening of high frequencies. For most applications, the very slight high frequency dampening is a worthwhile exchange for the notable wind noise reduction.
