In total, you get a Rode NTG2 Shotgun microphone and a two-section broadcast arm with an included XLR cable.Set the microphone up in the broadcast arm, which clamps easily onto your desk. An XLR cable is threaded through the broadcast arm; use this XLR cable with the microphone and an audio interface or audio recorder (the interface or the audio recorder are available separately).The microphone delivers pro-quality sound of the sort often used in broadcast radio or podcasting pieces. If you're podcasting, speak into the microphone at around a fist's distance from the capsule.
