Whether producing content for broadcast or cinema distribution, you can depend on the SmallHD 13" Production Monitor with Built-In Teradek Sidekick II Receiver to display accurate colors in professional studio and location settings. The built-in Sidekick II receiver makes this a small package of monitor and receiver that accepts 3D LUTS for monitoring from wireless transmitters or SDI sources. Each monitor is color-calibrated by SmallHD to ensure consistently accurate color representation, with 93% coverage of the NTSC color space. The Color Intelligence engine accepts LUTs from industry-standard solutions.True 10-bit color depth can differentiate between 1024 levels of brightness, per channel, for smooth gradients essential for critical image analysis. The LED backlight provides 1500 cd/m ? of brightness. The monitor can tough it out in the production world with its milled aluminum body, versatile power options, and a wide selection of monitoring tools. Having a color-accurate monitor on set means that directors, clients, or DITs can have a dependable reference display for nearly any kind of production. Built-In Wireless Receiver Compatible with Teradek Bolt 500, 1000, 3000, and Focus Bolt/Cine 7 500 transmitters. PageBuilder OS Originally featured in the 500 and 700-series models, and extrapolated for the Production Monitor series, the PageBuilder OS is an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) that puts all the advanced functionality of the 1703 at your fingertips. Rather than have confusing menus, this GUI allows you to selectively apply monitoring tools such as waveform, vectorscope, multiview, and focusing aids to different "pages". These pages can be easily flipped through using the joystick, or selected with the four quick-access buttons on the front panel. Additional buttons on the front panel can toggle monitoring tools on and off for each page. 3D LUT Processing To keep your images consistent from production through to post-production, import 3D LUTs and display the treated image side by side with the untreated image, to correctly gauge exposure while visualizing what is being recorded by the camera. A side-by-side preview can also be used with the HDR preview function. Separate LUT-treated images can be sent downstream over SDI and HDMI, so you can have the 1303 display a log image or LUT-treated image, while the director or client monitors connected to the outputs can receive images treated with a different LUT. An image capture function saves a still frame from the incoming video stream onto an SD card, and records the applied 3D LUT for post-production reference. On-Set Problem Solving The PageBuilder OS has a dedicated Output Preview page which allows you to apply LUTs and other image adjustments specific to the output signal from the monitor. HD Scopes Fill the screen with up to three simultaneous scopes, including waveform, vectorscope, and histogram, while still being able to observe the camera feed. The Color Picker function can analyze the raw color values of any individual pixel in the frame. Exposure Tools Exposure assist supports both ARRI and Rainbow false color. Utilize zebra lines to warn you when reaching a brightness level of your choosing. This is great for matching exposure across shots and cameras. Focus Assist and Peaking Tools Focus assist creates a bright highlight on in-focus subject matter? highly recommended when focusing on the fly. Focus Peaking increases the image sharpness, allowing for more detailed focusing. The color and intensity of the peaking can be adjusted to your preference.Whether producing content for broadcast or cinema distribution, you can depend on SmallHD's 1703 P3 17" Studio Monitor to display accurate colors in professional studio and post-production settings. Each 1703 P3 is color calibrated by SmallHD to ensure consistently accurate color representation, with 100% coverage of both REC 709 and DCI-P3 color spaces. Should you find that the display requires recalibration, the Color Intelligence engine accepts LUTs from industry standard solutions.True 10-bit color depth can differentiate between 1024 levels of brightness, per channel, for smooth gradients essential for critical image analysis. While the LED backlight provides 450 cd/m ? of brightness, a special 100 cd/m ? "studio mode" provides accurate brightness levels for light-controlled post-production environments.Despite its many post-production friendly features, the 1703 P3 can tough it out in the production world with its milled aluminum body, RapidRail accessory mounting system, versatile power options, and wide selection of monitoring tools. Having a color-accurate monitor on set means that directors, clients, or DITs can have a dependable reference display for nearly any kind of production. ColorFlow 3D LUT Processing To keep your images consistent from production through to post-production, ColorFlow allows you to import 3D LUTs and display the treated image side by side with the untreated image, to correctly gauge exposure while visualizing what is being recorded by the camera. A side-by-side preview can also be used with the HDR preview function. Separate LUT-treated images can be sent downstream over SDI and HDMI, so you can have the 1703 display a log image or LUT-treated image, while the director or client monitors connected to the outputs can receive images treated with a different LUT. On Set Problem Solving The PageBuilder OS has a dedicated "Output Preview" page which allows you to apply LUTs and other image adjustments specific to the output signal from the monitor. Whether you have your camera connected to the HDMI or SDI input on the 702 OLED, you are not limited by that protocol. The 702 OLED cross converts to ensure compatibility with downstream hardware. HD Scopes Fill the screen with up to three simultaneous scopes? including waveform, vectorscope, and histogram? while still being able to observe the camera feed. The Color Picker function can analyze the raw color values of any individual pixel in the frame. Exposure Tools Exposure Assist supports both ARRI and Spectrum-based false color, with built-in IRE guides for reference. Utilize 2x Zebra to warn you when reaching a brightness level of your choosing. This is great for matching exposure across shots and cameras. Dual-View View two video feeds side by side. The feeds can be from two different inputs to view angle options, or from the same source. Different adjustments can be applied to each feed, so you can have one feed with a flat uncorrected log image, and have the second feed display a corrected log image with a LUT. Monitoring tools can also be applied individually, so you can view a raw video feed side by side with a feed that has exposure tools or focus assists overlaid. Focus Assist and Peaking Tools Focus assist creates a bright highlight on in-focus subject matter? highly recommended when focusing on the fly. Focus Peaking increases the image sharpness, allowing for more detailed focusing. The color and intensity of the peaking can be adjusted to your preference. RapidRail Shoe Mount System Quickly secure and detach accessories such as wireless units to the rear of the monitor using standard shoe mount rails. This saves time over traditional screw-mounted methods and keeps your setup clean and neat. If required, these accessories can be powered straight off the monitor using the integrated 12V LEMO power output or the three USB ports. Power Options Separately available V-Mount or Gold Mount battery plates can be attached to the rear of the display. A mounted battery can power the monitor, as well as attached accessories, through the 12V LEMO connection. The USB ports on the rear of the monitor can also power accessories with a maximum draw of 0.5 amps per port.CES 2018: What is the SMALL HD 703 Bolt 3000-NIT Monitor?Monitor your camera's feed completely free of wires with the SmallHD 703 Bolt 7" Wireless Director's Monitor Bundle. This bundle adds a V-mount plate, side handles, and a neck strap to complement the monitor itself. Since the monitor can now operate on battery power from a separately available battery, with a compatible wireless connection, the 703 Bolt can be taken around the set fully untethered.Borrowing the wireless technology from Teradek, the 703 Bolt can receive uncompressed HD wireless signals from Bolt 500, 1000, or 3000 transmitters up to 300' away with no perceptible latency. With this feature, anyone can walk around the set while monitoring a camera feed, perfect for directors and camera assistants. Furthermore, despite the presence of a wireless receiver, the 703 Bolt maintains a slim profile similar to on-camera monitors.A unibody aluminum exterior keeps the monitor durable yet lightweight, while also acting as a heatsink for the internal electronics. The LCD panel itself is protected by a layer of optically-bonded Gorilla Glass, notable for its transparency and toughness. The optical bonding process ensures that blacks are not washed out and reduces the harshness of reflections. On the rear of the display is the SDI I/O. Having dual SDI ports allows for A/B viewing of two different SDI signals, or the secondary port can be assigned as an output for sending an SDI signal downstream to another monitor, switcher, or wireless accessory. All the functionality of the monitor is available via the PageBuilder OS, which provides advanced functionality with a simple and efficient graphical user interface.
