Description

The NiSi P1 Prosories ND1000 (10 Stop) for Mobile Phones and compact camera systems is an ND filter that provides a 10-stop exposure reduction allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time you are able to control the depth of field and show movement in your images, for example, smooth out the water. This filter is made from high-quality optical glass (not resin) with nano coating to prevent losing any single bit of detail. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and the 3.0 density provides a 10 stop reduction in light from entering the lens. This filter is compatible with the NiSi P1 Prosories Mobile Phone Filter Kit and compact camera systems.

ContentThe NiSi P1 Prosories ND1000 (10 Stop) for Mobile Phones and compact camera systems is an ND filter that provides a 10-stop exposure reduction allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. The NiSi Solid Neutral Density Long-Exposure Filter Kit contains three filters that are compatible with filter holders that can accommodate 100mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters. Each filter can be used individually or in various combinations to create a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters. This kit's NiSi 100 x 100mm Nano IRND 0.9, 1.8, and 3.0 Filters are ND filters that provide a respective 3-, 6-, and 10-stop exposure reduction. The design of these filters has been optimized for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light, compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times. To provide a high level of neutrality across the visible and infrared spectrums in order to eliminate color casts and ensure cleaner, truer blacks, one layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating is applied to each of these filter's surfaces. The nano coating associated with these filters also results in an improved beading effect when in contact with water or oil for greater cleaning efficiency. An included NiSi Four-Filter Soft Case for 100mm Filters is designed to provide a secure and convenient transport and storage solution for any combination of up to four NiSi 100 x 100mm or 100 x 150mm filters. Filters placed within this pouch are each held within one of four nonabrasive slots. They can be easily accessed by opening the pouch's touch-tab fastened front flap. When photographing with a tripod, a loop along the rear of the filter case allows it to be secured to one of the tripod's legs, putting your filters in more immediate reach. This pouch's exterior is woven from canvas for durability. Also provided is a microfiber cloth for cleaning and maintenance of the filters, as well as three light-blocking gaskets. Each of these gaskets can be used to form a seal that is intended to prevent stray light, which could have unwanted effects on exposure, from coming in between a filter and the lens behind it. How to Use ND Filters: An IntroductionThe NiSi 4 x 5.65" Nano IRND 0.3 Filter is an ND filter with a 2x filter factor that provides a 1-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.3 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters are intended to not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters. The design of this filter has been optimized for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light, compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times. To provide a high level of neutrality across the visible and infrared spectrums in order to eliminate color casts and ensure cleaner, truer blacks when using the NiSi 4 x 5.65" Nano IRND 0.3 Filter, one layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating is applied to each of this filter's surfaces. This NiSi 4 x 5.65" Nano IRND 0.3 Filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity, and measures 4mm thick.4 x 5.65" neutral density filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.Providing a 1-stop exposure reduction, this filter allows you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.Filter does not affect coloration of the image and is ideal for use with other filters. Each surface includes one layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating that attenuates infrared light as well as visible wavelengths, to maintain color neutrality and suppress color casts due to increased exposure times.Constructed from optical glass for clarity.Leatherette pouch included for storage and transport. How to Use ND Filters: An IntroductionThe NiSi 100x150mm Nano Soft-Edge Graduated IRND 1.2 Filter is a rectangular filter that helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A neutral density filter with a soft-edged line of transition is particularly useful for images that do not have a strongly defined transition between the sky and the foreground. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 4-stop reduction in light from entering the lens. The design of this filter has been optimized for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light, compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times. It can be applied to darken bright skies, specifically during a sunrise or sunset, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. This filter achieves its effect with a 0.9 band of density across its center region that provides a 3-stop reduction in light from entering a lens. This band extends approximately 4mm in both vertical directions which tapers to a 0.15 density that provides a 0.5-stop reduction in light at the edge above it. Directly below the 0.9 band of density, it tapers to clear, with a hard-edged line of transition before the clear area. The placement of a 0.9 band of density that tapers to a density of 0.15 above it with a clear area directly below, allows the NiSi 100 x 150mm Nano Reverse-Graduated IRND 0.9 to 0.15 Filter to match the positioning of the sun when it is at, or immediately above the horizon. In such instances, the sun can appear closer to the center of an image as opposed to the upper edge, and an increase in brightness is created that is more prominent on both sides of the sun than above it. This pattern of brightness corresponds to the density pattern on the NiSi 100 x 150mm Nano Hard-Edge Reverse-Graduated IRND 0.9 to 0.15 Filter. The hard-edged line of transition in this reverse, graduated neutral density filter is useful for hard transitions between the sky and land, while the 3-stop to 0.5-stop gradation is applicable to multiple regions of brightness within the sky.
