The larger 48 x 48" size requires a van or grip truck for traveling, whereas shaving 8" on all sides makes it more manageable in tight spaces and allows it to fit in nearly all "wagons" or SUVs.Simply undo the touch fasteners at the corners, and the Top Hinge Floppy "flops" opens to become a large 40 x 80" black flag that creates a sort of open-sided tent to shade talent, the camera, etc. The frame is hollow steel tubing to cut down on weight, while the solid steel mounting rod can stand up to years of heavy use. | This is a Matthews Hollywood Century C Stand Kit. It consists of a Double Riser Sliding Leg C Stand with a Grip Head and 40" Arm.The unique staggered leg design of a C Stand allows it to be nested and placed extremely close to one another on a set. The top leg of the stand is independently adjustable. This kit is available in black: Click Here. This kit is available with low-profile legs: Click Here.Sliding independent top leg adjustment for leveling on uneven terrainGriphead and arm allow mounting and placement of gobos, small reflectors and small light fixtures | Flags are square or rectangular frames with mounting pins attached. Used to control natural or artificial light. Can be used to protect the camera lens from flares, control spill light from other sources, or keep light from reaching an area on the set.Newly designed 90 ? Flag frames will make it possible to position the instrument over the top of the set wall or to use two or more units to create a box for better light control. | Also known as "Rags" these are the materials that are tied to the Butterfly/Overhead frame. For many years, only the basic materials were used such as scrims to reduce light, silk to diffuse light and solid to eliminate light.More recently many new materials have been added to allow many degrees of diffusion (Grid Cloths, Black Silks, etc.) plus many new reflective materials are now available to make large reflectors for both sunlight and artificial light such as Matthflectors, Grifflectors and Lames. |
