The ?Teranex Mini Smart Panel, from ?Blackmagic Design, is designed to simply replace the existing front panel on any Teranex Mini Converter as well as the Blackmagic Web Presenter. It provides a 2.2″ color LCD, a spin dial, and six control buttons, including a menu control. You’ll be able to adjust settings, browse menus, monitor conversions in progress, monitor audio levels, verify timecode, and verify the video standard being converted.

The outputs automatically match and output in the quality of the HDMI input, whether HD or SD; whatever comes in is what automatically goes out. Both the HDMI and SDI connections support up to 1080p60 HD, which on the SDI side is equivalent to 3G. The converter also supports embedded audio on both the in and outs.One reason for converting to SDI is to take advantage of the longer distance that SDI cables can carry a signal. This allows you to use professional SDI equipment that outputs Ultra HD 4K (3840 x 2160) and DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) video signals with projectors and televisions that support 4K over a single HDMI cable. With a compact form factor and easy-to-use controls, the Mini Converter is ideal for a variety of broadcast, post production, and professional AV applications.Using 4K HDMI and 6G-SDI technologies, the Mini Converter supports resolutions up to UHD 4K at up to 30 fps and DCI 4K at 24 fps, as well as NTSC/PAL SD and HD formats. The Mini Converter features four BNC connectors: Input 1 accepts single link SD/HD/3G/6G-SDI signals, Input 2 adds support for dual link HD/3G-SDI, and Input 3 and 4 add the remaining channels required for quad link HD-SDI signals. Input 1 automatically detects between SD, HD, 3G, and 6G-SDI signals. | With 12G-SDI, ?Blackmagic Design's ?ATEM Talkback Converter 4K ?accepts high-resolution video from up to eight studio cameras or ATEM Camera Converters and allows the control room to interact with the camera operators. The 12G-SDI connections can support video with resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 fps and rout those individual signals to a switcher via SDI outputs, to a program monitor via its own SDI output, and back to the camera operator while carrying talkback audio over a single cable.
