Description

The ?Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Recorder ?is a PCIe slot capture card with both SDI and HDMI inputs for capturing uncompressed 10-bit video from a camera directly into your computer. You’ll be able to ingest footage as the camera’s recording live or from a playback of the camera’s recording. The inputs are active, so once you plug a cable into them, they’ll begin functioning. This card automatically switches between SD and HD, so it’ll be able to handle all common video formats. The point of ingesting through a capture card is to bypass unnecessary compressions and hence data loss. The card performs just one compression, upon delivery to your computer, where your footage gets encoded into an edit-ready codec of your choice.

Inputs

  • SDI 10-bit SD/HD switchable video with 16 ch HD / 8 ch SD embedded audio
  • HDMI type A video with 8 ch audio embedded in SD and HD

1-Lane PCI Express Card

The Mini Monitor is a 1-lane PCI Express card and is compatible with 4, 8 and 16 lane PCI Express slots on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. The only Mac capable of accepting the card is a Mac Pro as other Macs can’t be opened to enable installation. The card features two PCIe shields for both full height and low profile slots.

>Model: OpenGearThe ?OpenGear Converter Analog to SDI Module ?from ?Blackmagic Design ?is a component designed for use in the modular OpenGear system. OpenGear is essentially an open-standards chassis that can be mounted in a rack for conversion and processing work. The chassis accepts different modules to enhance its functionality, allowing the solution to be expanded or scaled at will. This module is designed to convert analog HD/SD component, NTSC, PAL or S-video input to SDI output with balanced AES/EBU and analog audio embedding. It is well suited for use with Betacam SP, VHS, set-top boxes, gaming consoles, and HDV cameras, among other possible equipment and applications.Analog to SDI ConversionUse this module to convert analog HD/SD component, NTSC, PAL or S-video input to SDI output with balanced AES/EBU and analog audio embedding.OpenGear SystemThis module is intended for use in the OpenGear modular chassis.Create a custom camera control solution with the ?3G-SDI Arduino Shield ?from ?Blackmagic Design. Working in conjunction with a separately available Arduino controller, the Shield embeds an SDI control signal in the Program return feed that will operate compatible cameras, such as the Blackmagic Studio Camera or URSA Mini with the Studio Camera firmware update. These are the same controls output via an ATEM series switcher.>Blackmagic Video Device Embedded Control ProtocolThis open communication protocol takes advantage of blanking space in the SDI data stream to add talkback, tally, and other camera control information directly to the camera via the program return feed. Because of its open nature, you can create custom solutions that are compatible with switchers, cameras, and other supporting hardware>Available ControlsThe following controls are supported via SDI (Note: ?Availability may depend on camera and lens configuration):
  • Tally
  • Gain
  • Detail
  • Shutter
  • Zoom
  • Focus
  • Iris
  • Pedestal
  • Color Balance
  • Contrast

>About ArduinoAn Arduino is a controller - basically a simple computer - that can be embedded in other devices to create custom solutions. In this case, installing on the Shield. Once you have the Arduino, you can download the IDE (developer software) from the Arduino website, then load the Shield's "sample code". This will give you a feel for how the Arduino interoperates with the camera and help you get started programming>Program Using Arduino IDEArduino programs are called Sketches and are designed to be easy to write. You can install "sample code" via the Arduino IDE (available from Arduino's website) to get a feel for how the system works. The commands for camera control are documented in the ATEM and Studio Camera manuals (available from the Support section of the Blackmagic Design website)>I2C Bus InterfaceThe Arduino Shield only uses the I2C bus, which means it is also compatible with other micro controllers, including a Raspberry Pi
Model: Decklink SDI 4KThe ?Decklink SDI 4K Capture & Playback Card ?from ?Blackmagic Design ?features a single multi-rate SDI input and multi-rate SDI output. These multi-rate connections accept single-link SD, HD, 3G, and 6G-SDI signals, providing support for resolutions from SD to Ultra HD 4K (3840x2160) and DCI 4K (4096x2160). Additionally, the Decklink SDI 4K includes RS-422 deck control, internal keying, and a reference input.Decklink SDI 4K offers flexible format and system support, letting you work with compressed video formats such as ProRes and DNxHD, as well as 10-bit uncompressed video. When working with uncompressed video, all images are pixel-for-pixel identical to the source, without any generational loss. This lets you get sharper keying with green screens, cleaner compositions, superior color correction, and more. Support for common file formats provides ready-to-edit files for use in popular editing, effects, and design software applications. Decklink SDI 4K is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux based workstations.Key Features
